NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Kindergarteners Jordan Dawes (left), of White Plains, and Marco Nicchia, of New Rochelle, exchange tickets for an assortment of prizes with upperclassmen guides Tom McSorley (wearing beard), of Harrison, and Dylan Burak, of Scarsdale, during the Happy Birthday Jesus celebration at Iona Preparatory’s Lower School. All Iona Prep students took part in this “carnival of Christmas.” The eighth-graders, with help from Upper School Campus Ministers, ran the Nativity-themed game stations. The seventh-graders shepherded the K-6 students, who earned tickets by playing games and answering questions that enhanced their knowledge of the Holy Family.
