NEW ROCHELLE, NY — As part of its ongoing commitment to a Christ-centered curriculum and the promotion of Catholic values, Iona Preparatory’s Lower School is hosting a series of special events that promise exceptional holiday season photo, video and story opportunities.

·         Tuesday, December 15: ‘Happy Birthday Jesus.’ All Lower School students will participate in this “carnival of Christmas,” beginning at 9 a.m. The eighth-graders, with help from Upper School Campus Ministers, will run Nativity-themed game stations in the gym/auditorium. Seventh-graders will shepherd the K-6 students, who will earn tickets – to be cashed in for prizes – by playing games and answering Nativity-related questions that enhance their knowledge of the Holy Family.

·         Thursday, December 17: Art Show (grades K-8) and Christmas Pageant (grades K-5). Beginning at 6 p.m., pieces created since the beginning of the school year will be displayed in the cafeteria. And at 7 p.m., the Nativity story will be retold in the annual Pageant, with a mix of singing, drama and a ringing of the bells in the gym/auditorium.

Iona Prep’s Lower School is located at 173 Stratton Road in New Rochelle, New York, and serves more than 175 students in Grades K-8.
