NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A new book club exploring the library’s excellent collection of cookbooks and online food-related resources will begin this January at the New Rochelle Public Library. The club will meet once a month on a Saturday afternoon in the library’s meeting room, at which time thematic recipes and samples will be shared by the participants. To supplement some of the sessions local food cookbook authors will be invited to demonstrate recipes from their books. All ages are invited to join the free program.
An introductory session will be held on Saturday, January 16, from 2:00 – 2:30 pm. The first meeting of the club will take place the next week, on Saturday, January 23rd, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, with an appropriate starting theme of “hors d’oeuvres and appetizers.” The second session, which will focus on “soups” will take place on Saturday, February 20th.
