NEW ROCHELLE, NY — City Launches Pay By Phone Pilot for Main Street Meters

ParkMobile App now active between Centre and North Avenues

No quarters? No problem! Downtown parkers on Main Street between Centre and North Avenues now have the option of paying by cell as part of a pilot program the Ctiy of New Rochelle rolled out on Monday, January 11.

Using the free ParkMobile app, parkers can start a parking session by putting in plate and meter number, and then extend time remotely and even opt-in to receive a notification 15 minutes before meter time expires. The app can be downloaded at www.parkmobile.com.

Deputy Commissioner Paul Vacca noted, “We are continually seeking ways to improve the parking experience in downtown, and the availability of the ParkMobile app broadens the payment options. Parkers now have the choice of cash, credit card, or app. The technology is there, and we are putting it to work.”
