NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Iona College Athletics will host Veterans Appreciation Night this Friday (Jan. 15) at its highly anticipated men’s basketball game vs. Monmouth at 9:00 pm at the Hynes Center.
Veterans, active duty military, and their families will receive complimentary tickets to the game*, the pregame National Anthem will feature a full court sized flag and various local veterans’ support groups will be recognized throughout the night.
“This is a great opportunity for us to recognize the service of those that risk so much to keep us safe,” said Iona College Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr. “We are honored to host these veterans and military members and thank Ron Tocci and Denise Sprague of the Westchester Veterans Service Agency for their efforts in helping organize this event.”
