NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Glenn “Lee” Houk of New Rochelle, NY passed away on January 4, 2016, he was 84 years old. Born to Ruth and Dale Houk in Pennsylvania, Lee, as he was known, grew up in an academic setting. Lee’s father was Dean at the Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. He much admired his parents and would follow in his father’s footsteps as an educator. After proudly serving his country in the United States Army, Lee went on to receive his Masters in Education. Lee was Principal of Colonial School in Pelham Heights from 1970 to 1981, when he retired as Principal and moved to Holland. Never wanting to be far from education, Lee would continue his career as Principal of the American School of The Hague. Along with his love for education, Lee had a love for life. One could often find him playing bridge or tennis or fishing on his beloved Lake Wylie. With a quick wit and excellent sense of humor, Lee was a devoted father and educator.
