NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Food Bank for Westchester today announced that it will host its Annual Valentine’s Day Wine Tasting Dinner on Friday, February 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown.

With the theme “Take Heart Against Hunger,” the special evening will feature a four-course gourmet meal with selected wine pairings, created especially for the event by Culinary Host and Sponsor Abigail Kirsch Catering Relationships’ Partner Alison Awerbuch and Executive Chef John d’Arcangelo. The wines are generously being donated by the event’s Wine and Spirits Sponsor, Pernod Ricard.

The evening will also include a live auction with items including: Event Level Suite tickets to see singer Adele perform live at Madison Square Garden; Dinner at world-class restaurants including Le Bernardin, Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Oceana; and a suite for 30 people at a New York Mets game. In addition, a Rolex watch from Wilson & Sons, valued at more than $8,000, will be included in a raffle.

“Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to support a cause that is close to all of our hearts,” said Food Bank for Westchester President and CEO Ellen Lynch. “This event gives us an opportunity to help those who struggle every day to put a meal on their own tables. We invite everyone to ‘take heart against hunger.’”
