WHITE PLAINS, NY — WFAS-AM 1230 decided to change its format to all-syndicated sports, effective immediately. In as much as there will be no live shows, sports or otherwise, the morning show was cancelled. I am no longer with the station.
The good news is that I will be making an announcement very shortly on where my show can be heard. I expect the next iteration of the show to be even bigger and better.
We will continue to offer the broad variety of guests and topics that you expect. From Westchester to the White House, From Vietnam to New Rochelle, we will feature those who make the news and those who need their story told. Of course, Westchester, Putnam and Rockland Counties will be our primary focus as we deal with issues important to them such as flood mitigation, education and infrastructure.
Also, we will continue to provide public service elements, such as our traditional efforts to highlight and help organizations dedicated to mental illness and those associated with curing ALS and other diseases. Lastly, we will continue to welcome all-comers, whether they be callers or local bloggers.
I want to thank all of the listeners and guests who helped us produce a program that went places where most broadcasts fear to tread. Moreover, we did it with warmth, honesty, and inclusiveness; things we think are rare in the current media environment.
Also, I want to thank the staff at WFAS for their help in preparing the program. So, as we say in the trade, stay tuned for more information as we move forward.
