NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Monroe College opened the doors this morning to its brand new student dining facility in Gaddy Hall, welcoming a long line of hungry students, staff, and faculty ready to sample the new fare and enjoy the expanded dining space.
As part of Gaddy Café’s opening day celebrations, Marc Jerome, Executive Vice President of the college, manned the pancake grill this morning for an hour along with Carol Genese, Monroe’s Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs. Marques Johnson, our Director of Residence Life, joined them next door at the breakfast sandwich station. With many students coming back for second helpings, it’s safe to say they all did a pretty good job! (photos attached)
Gaddy Café replaces the former dining facility in the Monroe Athletic Complex, which served its last student meal at the end of dinner service last night. Its central location is more convenient to resident students in the Gaddy and Allison Hall dorms, as well as for those attending classes in the neighboring buildings.
