WHITE PLAINS, NY — Archbishop Stepinac High School, 950 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY, is accepting registration for three summer programs for boys.
Two of the offerings are for boys entering the 7th-9th grades. They are the popular four-week S.T.E.P. (Sports, Activities, Science, Technology and Educational Prep) program and five athletic camps.
A new addition is the Next Level Summer Camp for Boys between the ages of 6 and 14.
S.T.E.P. will be held at Stepinac’s state-of-the-art, 24-acre campus including the first-of-its-kind all-digital textbook library from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, June 27-July 22.
Students will participate in a multitude of challenging classes and activities. For those boys who prefer activities other than sports, the program offers workshops in art, dramatics, band, photography and computers—among many others. Students will also travel on off-campus field trips that will enhance the curriculum of their classes.
Boys entering the 7th and 8th grades will focus on skills to help them on the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools exam. Ninth grade applicants must be registered as incoming Stepinac freshman
Tuition is $400 per week or $1,400 for the entire 4-week program. Special bundled pricing is available if participants would also like to attend one of the athletic camps. The registration deadline is June 1. For more information, contact Patsy Manganelli at admissions@stepinac.org
The five athletic camps, held Monday-Thursday, are football (July 11-14, 4-8 PM); soccer (July 18-21, 4-8 PM); wrestling (July 18-21, 4-7 PM); baseball (July 25-28, 9 AM-2PM) and basketball (August 1-4, 9 AM-3 PM). Football, baseball and basketball sports camps are designed for the serious athletes who want to build a solid foundation that combines preparation, self-discipline and hard work to achieve success.
Every camper will receive one-on-one instruction from Stepinac’s experienced coaching staff. Campers should bring lunch and a bottle of water every day and wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes.
Tuition is $300 per camp which includes a $100 application fee. The registration and payment deadline is also June 1. For more information, contact Coach Michael O’Donnell at stepcrusaders@aol.com.
A new summer program for younger boys between the ages of 6 and 14 will be offered for the first time at Stepinac. The Next Level Camp for Boys will comprise full or half-day sessions from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, each week from June 27 through August 5. It builds upon the success of the all-girls program at The Ursuline School, New Rochelle, using a similar concept of elective based program focused on developing skills, building character and emphasizing playing with pride and playing for fun.
