A Contemporary Perspective on Art and Stations of the Cross
The lecture will feature images of a contemporary sculptural Way of the Cross by sculptor Bert Gerresheim juxtaposed with images from refugees making the Way of the Cross. Begun in the time of the Crusaders, Devotion to the Stations of the Cross grew steadily over the century after the Crusaders returned from the Holy Land and built remembrances of sites they had seen.
