WHITE PLAINS, NY — Westchester Magazine’s 6th Annual Wine & Food Festival kicked off last night, as participating restaurants and chefs gathered together at Harvest-On-Hudson to celebrate in style and learn about event details. From June 8-12, more than 100 of the County’s top restaurants will participate at Westchester’s premiere culinary festival to serve up signature bites, drinks and demos for a great time to be had by all.

Burger & Beer Blast

Get out and vote for the “Blue Moon Best Burger” of 2016after sampling an array of burgers from 30 of the best restaurants in Westchester at the annual Burger & Beer Blast! From beef burgers to lamb burgers to good old-fashioned cheeseburgers, everyone is sure to have a different favorite at night’s end.
New this year is the addition of the Empire City Casino Tent which will be home to five gaming tables, signature bites from some of the Casino’s restaurants as well as specialty cocktails.

An Evening with Westchester’s Tastemakers

Now doubled in size, ticket holders will join more than 20 of Westchester County’s most-celebrated chefs and restaurants as they come together for this one-night-only celebration of food and wine. Paired with world-class wines and spirits selected by Wine Expert Kevin Zraly and Varmax Liquor Pantry, each chef will prepare two signature dishes for an exclusive gathering of VIPs.

This sprawling celebration showcases signature bites from restaurants around the County, all paired with a great assortment of wine and beer. Those with a Connoisseurs ticket will experience food from an additional selection of restaurants, sample wine from 10 of the top wine suppliers and connect with Kevin Zraly who will offer his wine expertise. The Village is also home to celebrity chefs demonstrating their culinary expertise.

In addition to these signature events, the Wine & Food Festival will also include:
•Wednesday, June 8: Renowned Wine Expert Kevin Zraly and local Celebrity Chef Rafael Palomino will kick off the festival at Bloomindale’s Fashion Food & Wine, with a special wine and food pairing. Customers will sample a variety of treats from local restaurants while enjoying special shopping deals throughout the night. Ticket: $25 and includes $25 Bloomingdale’s gift card and gift bag (6:00pm-8:00pm).
•Saturday, June 11:At the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester’sJr. Chefs Academy’s hands-on cooking classes, kids will learn everything, from cooking techniques to recipes they can take home and share with their family and friends. Two sessions, ages 7-12, 11:00am-12:30pm; ages 13-17, 2:00pm-3:30pm). Ticket: $100.
•Sunday, June 12: Kids can play with their food and take part in interactive activities during the festival’s first family-friendly event at Cross County Shopping Center. Use Your Noodle is open to children ages 5-12 and will teach them that cooking is fun! Kids will work with noodle experts from Noodles & Co to construct silly pasta creations, make their own pasta and win prizes! Event is free but registration is required.
