NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The City of New Rochelle Office for the Aging will be honoring approximately ninety senior citizens at the annual Senior Citizen Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. The fourth annual event will take place at Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 AM and presentations by Mayor Noam Bramson will commence at 1 PM.
The seniors being recognized have volunteered with a number of local programs including Foster Grandparent Program, The Hugh Doyle Senior Center, Meals on Wheels of New Rochelle, Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital Volunteer Program, and the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteer New York of Westchester County.
Mayor Bramson will present each volunteer with a letter of thanks in appreciation for their service. The luncheon coincides with last week’s Mayor’s Day of Recognition for National Service.
