PELHAM, NY — Pelham Art Center is pleased to present Creative Dissent: Arts of the Arab Spring Uprisings, a traveling exhibition that highlights the artistic expression of democratic uprisings that arose independently and spread across the Arab world in 2011, on view May 6 through June 4, 2016. In conjunction with Creative Dissent, contemporary Iranian artist Negin Sharifzadeh exhibits her sculptural and multi-media in Negin Sharifzadeh: Laments in Gray with a personal and female perspective, on view May 6 through June 25, 2016. An opening reception and free all-ages art workshop for the public will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016, 6:30 – 8PM. Both exhibitions were organized by Pelham residents Sylvia Iskander and Candace Taubner.
