NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty announced that Isaac McKnight (DOB 02/02/92) of 134 Webster Avenue, New Rochelle, New York was sentenced today to twelve years in state prison after having pled guilty on March 1, 2016 to:
•one count of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, a class “B” Violent Felony.
The defendant was working as a part time assistant teacher at a day care center in the Village of Tuckahoe. On November 5, 2015 he sexually assaulted a 4 year old child at the center.
A joint investigation carried out by the Village of Tuckahoe Police and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office resulted in McKnight’s arrest on November 12, 2015. He was subsequently arraigned on the above mentioned charge.
The defendant was remanded to the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections. Along with the prison sentence, the defendant must undergo fifteen years post-release supervision and must register as a sex offender.
Assistant District Attorney Christine Hatfield, Deputy Bureau Chief of the Child Abuse Bureau prosecuted the case.
