05/11 TONIGHT: New Rochelle’s My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Celebrates First Anniversary, Noteworthy Accomplishments 5:30 PM

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — TONIGHT at 5:30 p.m., New Rochelle’s My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) initiative celebrates its first anniversary amid the organization’s many noteworthy accomplishments (see attached) over the year.  Last year, New Rochelle, NY became the first community in Westchester County to embrace President Obama’s (MBK) initiative, and black and Latino youth have been broadly and positively impacted since.  The program has been described as the most progressive grassroots effort to improve the lives of boys and young men of color the City of New Rochelle has ever seen.

Interviews available with MBK Co-Chair/City Councilman Jared Rice, MBK Co-Chair/New Rochelle High School Principal Reginald Richardson, New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Osborne, and other MBK stakeholders, including students.
