NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Carmela Carpentieri, a resident of New Rochelle and formerly of the Bronx, died on May 2, 2016. She was 91.
Mrs. Carpentieri was born on October 22, 1924 in New York City to the late Vito and Anna (Grigorio) Coniglio. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Dancy and her husband Peter and Robbie Nixon and her husband Robert; her daughter-in-law, Maryann Carpentieri; her grandchildren, Dawn Dancy, Jennifer Cowan, Peter Dancy, Robert Dancy, Sean Nixon, Ryan Nixon, Janine Nixon, Lana Nixon, Nicole Carpentieri, and Danielle Carpentieri; her great-grandchildren, Gordon Russell, Stephanie Russell, Sam Cowan, and John Nixon. She was pre-deceased by her husband Robert J. Carpentieri on October 2, 2004 and her son, Sam Carpentieri on August 13, 2013.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, May 4 at 11am at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, New York.
