Makofane also earned a spot for the 800 meters, where he finished with a time of 1:52.48 at the national championship. Makofane also took home Atlantic Region Runner of the Year earlier in the season.
Head Coach Lesleigh Hogg reflected on the accomplishment, “The relay team has performed consistently well all year.” He continued, “They deserve this honor as they were the lynchpin to another successful season. It was a pleasure to coach all of them.”
