Albert Leonard and Isaac E. Young Middle School students take part in Full STEAM Ahead

Students from Albert Leonard Middle School and Isaac E. Young Middle School recently took part in Full STEAM Ahead, a program that showcased a year’s worth of in-depth, multi-disciplinary learning across science, technology, engineering, art and math, according to information from the City School District of New Rochelle.

Sixth graders explored the dangers of “text neck,” while seventh and eighth graders analyzed climate changes and investigated applications for technology.

The initiative represents a focused, district-wide approach to fully integrating these core lessons in every classroom from kindergarten through 12-grade, according to the information provided. The school district thanked Associate Superintendent Dr. Diane Massimo, Project Chair Joyce Kent, and the New Rochelle Fund for Educational Excellence for leading the effort for all New Rochelle middle school students.
