WHITE PLAINS, NY — County Executive Robert P. Astorino announces that the annual Polish Heritage Celebration will be held Sunday, July 10, from noon to 6 p.m., at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.
“Polish culture will come to life for people of all ages with live entertainment, traditional foods and interesting exhibits at the Polish Heritage Festival,” said Astorino.
Festival-goers can view a cultural exhibit presented by the Westchester Pulaski Association that will illustrate Poland’s past with photographs, maps, historical narratives and more. Stroll the vendor area for arts and crafts, colorful traditional dance costumes, t-shirts and memorabilia. Food vendors will offer a tantalizing selection of Polish foods such as kielbasa, pierogies and golumpki.
Seating is informal; bring blankets and chairs for seating on the lawn. No coolers will be allowed. The festival will be held rain or shine.
This event is sponsored by Westchester County Parks and the Westchester Pulaski Association.
Kensico Dam Plaza is located at the northern end of the Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla. Admission and parking are free.
