WHITE PLAINS, NY — County Executive Robert P. Astorino will honor Westchester County students who met his “Astorino Challenge in Education,” or ACE, on Wednesday, July 6, at 11 a.m., at Playland.
Last September, Astorino issued his challenge to all Westchester County students in grades 6 through 12 – achieve a 3.8 G.P.A. (95 average or A average), or perfect attendance, throughout the 2015-2016 school year and win a free season pass to Playland. An added benchmark was included this year – improve grades a full grade point, letter or 10 percentage point improvement from the previous year’s final report card and win the challenge and the season pass (Final 2nd year G.P.A must be at least a 2.0, 75% or C average).
This is Astorino’s fourth year issuing the ACE challenge.
