PELHAM, NY — Looking for a creative outlet in the fall? Some tantalizing new classes for adults and youth are offered at the Pelham Art Center, starting Sept. 12th! Check out the new fall classes at pelhamartcenter.org/education. A hint of some fun offerings: For adults: Calligraphy! By popular demand – personalize your notes and invitations with this beautiful art of writing. Well-known artist Anki King (who has exhibited here) is teaching “Experimenting with Oil Paint” where you can paint powerfully with textures and new tools. Originate art on your computer with Collage Art with Photoshop. Also in demand: beginners love Watercolor 101 and Beginners Drawing and Painting. Some exciting 1 to 2-day workshops: Enamel Jewelry, Fall Flower Painting (this workshop drew raves last time); Create Outdoor Spaces for Contemplation, Printmaking (Adult and Teen) and Create Your Own Monogram.
A sample of creative and fun new classes for youth: Capturing Nature in Art; Pre-Engineering Using Lego; Digital Superheroes and Comics; Wild Watercolors!; Intro to 3D Computer Modeling and 3D Animation; Stop-Motion Animation; and Make Your Own Book. We’re very excited that Anki King is also teaching two youth classes: Weaving and Crafting; and Painting with Acrylics! Then there are the standard favorites: Pre-K classes, Clay, Mixed Media and Sculpture, Art Masters, Intermediate Scratch Coding and more!
And of course, Pelham Art Center offers adults its popular standards as well: from Collage to Portrait Painting to Digital Photography to Ceramics to Painting and Drawing, and more.
