NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Today, Ms. Santiago and Mr. Fry and their students planted pinwheels alongside the IEY building (made by our 6th and 7th grade students), in participation of the International Pinwheels for Peace Project. Pinwheels for Peace has joined with Peace One Day, a non-profit organization, which got the United Nations to adopt the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence on September 21st – Peace Day. Over 1.5 billion people have been exposed to this important day of peace.
