NEW ROCHELLE, NY –The Monroe College men’s soccer team continued its winning streak on Tuesday with a 17-0 victory over Ulster Community College in a Region XV game played in Stone Ridge, New York. The Mustangs are now 8-0 on the season and have outscored their opponents 46-2.
Felipe Hideki led the offensive onslaught with a season-best four goals. Dauda Kenneh scored three; Mohamed Ndiaye, Ignacio Goya, and Luiz Soupinski each had a pair; and Jorge Paez, Lucas Vaz, Jamal Manley West, and Marvin De Abreu found the back of the net once.
As for assists, Goya led the way with three. Soupinski, De Abreu, West, Isaac Tavarez, and Evan Finnegan picked up two helpers each, while Kenneh, Ndaiye, Gabriel Machado, and Pablo Pertusa earned one assist apiece.
As a team, Monroe managed 38 total shots while holding Ulster to zero. The Mustangs scored nine times before the half, but saw the reserves close out the scoring with eight more tallies in the second half.
The Monroe College men’s soccer team will return to action on Saturday, September 24th, against Burlington County College in New Jersey.
