NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Columbus Elementary School is home away from home for hundreds of students and teachers and — cats. Lots of cats.
Over the past year there were complaints made about school employees feeding the cats who have become a nuisance around the school. Little seems to have changed this year as 16 plates and bowls were recently left our for the feral cats on the back steps leading out to the teacher’s parking lot.
Every days, teachers have to deal with cats jumping on their cars and creating unsanitary conditions around the school.
