NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Despite scoring a season-best two goals, the Monroe College women’s JV soccer team fell 3-2 to Kingsborough Community College on Friday. The team is now 0-4 on the year.
Monroe led 2-1 at the half in this game thanks to markers from Cydney Barry and Ingrid Da Silva. Da Silva also kept Kingsborough at bay by stopping several shots, including a penalty kick.
The Waves managed a pair of second-half goals to earn the 3-2 win. Standout performances from the Mustangs included Gertrude Okine and Vanessa Londono, who joined the team earlier that day.
The Monroe College JV women’s soccer team will return to action on Tuesday, September 27th, against Suffolk Community College in Selden, New York. The kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
