NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Monroe College Men’s Cross Country team placed seventh overall at the Great Dane Invitational at the University of Albany on Saturday. Monroe was the only junior college at the meet, and the runners ran exclusively against NCAA competitors. Full results can be found here.
James Majenge was the top finisher for Monroe with a solid time of 26:45.5 in the 8K race. Vincent Kibunja crossed the finish in a mark of 27:43.6. Kasique Oliver notched a personal best performance of 28:32.1. Colin Battersby clocked a mark of 28:34.2, and he was followed by Ian Soares (29:46.1). The final two Monroe finishers were Anderson Heredia (30:47.4) and Donte Rolley-Williams (32:13.7).
The Monroe College Men’s Cross Country team will return to action on Thursday, October 20th, when they host a Tri-Meet with ASA & Essex County at Van Cortlandt Park at 10:00 AM.
