NEW ROCHELLE, NY –All ages are invited to the New Rochelle Public Library’s annual Family Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 11th at 3:00 pm. The versatile and lively band, Ursaville, will celebrate the joys of the holiday season in a festive concert that will engage and delight the audience. Ursaville’s sound begins at the center of folk but tends to freely travel, visiting rock, pop, jazz, latin, and more, on its way. The listener is carried on a journey through an array of instruments, blending both the traditional and the unusual. The musical tour highlights original songs as well as familiar tunes.
Ursaville members grew up sharing music together around the house, as they are the family of four! The Hood family has been performing in Westchester County in a variety of venues in the last few years. The band is made up of Sarah Hood on vocals, ukulele, and percussion, Maria Hood on vocals, melodica and percussion, Daniel Hood on vocals and drums, and Michael Hood on vocals, guitalele, mandocello, guitars, mandolin, steel tank drum, bass, etc.
The free, fun holiday concert is a BID Family Day event, made possible by the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District, in conjunction with the New Rochelle Public Library, the City School District and the Department of Parks and Recreation.
