NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The holiday season is in full swing this weekend at the New Rochelle Public Library. Children ages 5 and up are invited to create presents for teachers, family and friends at the annual, free BID Family Day “Make a Gift Fair” on Saturday, December 3rd, from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. Adorned picture frames, decorated tote bags, beaded bracelets, and festive party favors, are among the many projects that can be made and wrapped-up, ready for giving.
Families may also pick up some great presents at the Friends of NRPL Big Holiday Book Sale this Friday and Saturday, December 2nd and 3rd, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. In addition to a large selection of books, the Friends will be selling calendars, notecards, and other “new” items.
All month, visitors to the library will also have an opportunity to see the very cool, very literary Christmas tree created by staff member Sarah Papa and Amy Tietz, present of the Friends of NRPL!
