NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library will hold a special “A Buck-a-Bag” Book Sale on Friday, January 6 and Saturday, January 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Library’s lobby. To prepare for the opening of their new bookstore, the sale will provide unprecedented opportunities for customers to purchase great numbers of books at rock-bottom prices, as the be charge will be only one dollar for each bag filled with books. The Friends will provide the generously-sized bags. The high quality used books that will be available for purchase will include popular novels and mysteries in hardcover and paperback, non-fiction in hard-cover and paperback, children’s books, DVD’s, and more.
The executive board of the Friends of the Library coordinates the book sales, with the assistance of other Friends’ volunteers. Money realized from book sales are used to underwrite the Library’s extensive public programs.
The Friends of the Library mini book sales continue every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, also in the library lobby.
