NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The main New Rochelle Public Library and the Huguenot Children’s Library are offering a great variety of free programs for children in Pre-K through Grade 5 during the December vacation week.
A Toy Story Film Marathon will be held on Wednesday, December 28. The marathon features the three films in the popular series featuring the adventures of Andy’s beloved toys: 10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Toy Story I; 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm: Toy Story II; and 2:30 pm – 4:15 pm: Toy Story III. The movies are suitable for all ages and will be shown in the Ossie Davis Theater of the main library.
Bricks4Kidz Lego Workshops on Thursday, December 29, will be led by a LEGO® master who guides children ages 5 and older in building cool Bricks 4 Kidz® models. The first workshop will be held from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm in the lower level of the Huguenot Children’s Library. Registration is required for the HCL session; please call 632-8954. The second session will be held from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm in the Meeting Room of the main New Rochelle Public Library. Seating is at a first come-first served, beginning at 12:45 pm. The workshops are made possible by the Partnership for the Huguenot Children’s Library and the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library.
A Magic and Comedy Show with Jim McClenahan will take place on Friday, December 30, from 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm, in the Ossie Davis Theater of the main library. One of the region’s most popular performers, Jim will be bringing to the stage all kinds of hilarious antics, clever magic tricks, and side-splitting fun for all ages. What a great way to wrap-up 2016 and look forward to the start of a new year! Seating is on a first-come, first-served to the 138-seat capacity of the theater. This program is made possible by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library.
