Men’s Track and Field Earns Three Podium Finishes at Nationals

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Men’s Track and Field team ended their successful season with three podium finishes at the NJCAA National Championships last weekend.

The most outstanding performance came from Kasique Oliver. Oliver went all out and rapidly took the lead in the Men’s 800m final. Oliver finished second with an impressive time of 1:52.05, a personal best. Oliver also received Track Athlete of the Year in the Atlantic Region that week.

James Majenge put forth another strong performance. Majenge was 8th overall in the 1000m final, with a time of 2:35.59.

In addition, Antonio Coleman earned All-American status by placing 8th overall in the 400m with a time of 49.90. Coleman was closely followed by teammate Elijah Young, who finished 9th in the final with a time of 50.75. Both sprinters qualified for the final by running impressive 47-second races the day before.
