NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Grand Market Downtown kicks off its season this Saturday, June 3. The market features farm-fresh food, artisan crafts, live music and kids’ activities, all in Ruby Dee Park on Library Green. The grand market was started several years ago by the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District (BID), and it has since evolved into both a farmers market and a weekly family festival. Thanks to an outstanding partnership with the public library, the City School District of New Rochelle and the Department of Parks & Recreation, the BID family days provide free educational opportunities for children, including lessons on gardening and cooking. Grand Market Downtown is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday through the end of October.
