NEW ROCHELLE, NY — “Tell It, Sing It, Shout It; The Women Speak” is a gospel musical filled with excitement, joy, laughter, and soul stirring songs. The play is written and directed by Hazel Rosetta Smith and the musical director is Phyllis Renee Credle.
This thought provoking and soul stirring play will be performed at Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle, 71 Lincoln Avenue, New Rochelle, New York on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in their family life center. Tickets are only $20 per person.
“Tell It, Sing It, Shout It; The Women Speak” highlights the experiences and stories of several “church” women in word and song. The cast is made up of actresses Rev. Lillian Allen, Hazel Rosetta Smith, Anita Wells, Claudine Rucker and Phillis Renee Credle who collectively have theater, television and stage experience and they have performed this play in various venues in New York, Newport, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Durham, North Carolina. Each actress portrays a woman who shares her story and gives her testimony through word and song about what they have gone through.
