NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Rosemarie Burns, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on November 1, 2016. She was 76.
Rosemarie was born on April 30, 1940 in Pelham to Edward and Margaret (Freeman) Burns. She worked for many years as a salesperson for The Grand Store in Pelham. She was predeceased by her sister Sr. Eileen Burns OSF and her brother Msgr. A. Francis Burns. She enjoyed the companionship of her cousins, many friends and her extended family, The Sisters of St. Francis.
Rosemarie beamed in our lives like the lighthouses she loved so dearly.
Visiting will be on Friday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Mass is scheduled for Saturday 9:30am at Holy Name Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities, Franciscan Villa 6900 Buckley Rd.
