NEW ROCHELLE, NY — By the hundreds, they came to McKenna Field at New Rochelle High School this afternoon to get a look at Eclipse 2017.
The total eclipse was far to the south, but that didn’t stop New Rochelle residents from answering the school’s invitation to gather on the field to see what they could see of it from here. They came with cardboard-and-plastic eclipse glasses and other devices for witnessing the event.
