NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The public is invited to a talk on implicit bias next Thursday, presented by My Brother’s Keeper New Rochelle. The free talk, “We Are All Biased,” will explore the question: “To what extent does our bias affect others?”
The 90-minute presentation will be delivered by Dr. Bryant Marks, a professor of psychology at Morehouse College in Atlanta. It begins at 5:30 p.m., Oct. 5, in the Whitney Young Auditorium of New Rochelle High School, 265 Clove Road.
Refreshments will be offered before the presentation, and a question-and-answer period will follow the talk.
Dr. Marks is the director of Morehouse College’s Program for Research on Black Male Achievement and presidential advisor with the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans. He served as a special advisor to the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities in 2016.
