NEW ROCHELLE, NY — In light of recent devastation from hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, Habitat for Humanity of Westchester is holding a music event to raise money for hurricane relief efforts in Houston, Florida and Puerto Rico. This event will showcase local talent and cap off a wonderful week full of arts and events in conjunction with the New Rochelle Arts Festival.
This event will be held on October 8 at the Habitat for Humanity Restore location at 659 Main Street in New Rochelle. Inside the store will be a main stage for larger bands to perform and a second adjacent stage for individual or small group performances.
“This is going to be a great event. Lots of fun and a wonderful way to raise support for rebuilding hurricane homes” stated Jim Killoran, CEO of Habitat of Westchester. Dave Fabris of the band Mudsole, who is coordinating with a number of the musical groups set to perform, said “We have had a great outpouring of response from musicians who love to help lead the charge in helping others.”
Along with the musical entertainment of the night, there will be a 50/50 raffle and a suggested donation of $10 or more at the door. Texas Roadhouse will be providing food for the event, along with others.
The event will be held at our Restore location, 659 Main Street, New Rochelle, NY and will be held from 3 pm to 7 pm.
