NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Second grader Lilia Hafid took the helm of William B. Ward Elementary School recently when she became Principal for a Day. Having won a drawing for the honor, she greeted students, made announcements, visited classrooms, went over the plan for the day, sent emails and worked the phones.
