NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Habitat for Humanity of Westchester is excited to announce its 16th annual Walk for Homes, which will be held on November 5th at St. Augustine’s Church in Larchmont at 1pm.
This event looks to help raise awareness of the lack of affordable housing in Westchester County and with Habitat for Humanity of Westchester coming into its 30th year of service, it will be the largest walk to date. This walk aims to help veterans receive affordable housing and helps to create affordable housing in Westchester County. 10% of the proceeds of this year’s walk will go to help benefit those affected by hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
This is Habitat’s Walk for Homes’ 16th year of this important walk and it takes place in Larchmont, where Habitat for Humanity of Westchester built their first home 30 years ago.
People who intend to walk with Habitat are asked to collect pledges in order to help raise money for Habitat and the good work they are doing all over, not just Westchester County, but the country.
Sponsorships are still available. Please contact Jim Killoran at jim@habitatwc.org with any questions.
