NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Sounds of pipes and flutes, acoustic guitars, drums and beautifully haunting melodies will fill the New Rochelle Public Library’s Ossie Davis Theater on Sunday, November 12, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm, when the group Andinay delights audience members of all ages with their music from the Andes.
The five-piece group of musicians with roots in Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru have become local favorites, as their original compositions performed on traditional instruments of their homelands, including zampoñas, quenas, charango, strings and drums, creates a fabulous sound that delights all ages. Andinay’s music evokes the passion, beauty and timeless wonder of the Andean region, and is guaranteed to have the audience clapping, dancing and moving to the exuberant beats.
The concert is made possible by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library. A donation of $2.00 for adults is suggested at the door.
