Pelham Art Center’s annual artisan and craft exhibition is back, with some exciting and fresh changes, including highly affordable and unique gifts, perfect for the holidays. Craft Marketplace: Exhibition and Sale of the Handmade will highlight a dynamic collection of quality, affordable handmade items for sale, from Friday, November 17 through Saturday, December 30, 2017. Many skilled craft disciplines will be represented; ceramics, silver works and other types of unique jewelry; glass, leather, and more. Craft Marketplace will feature over 15 local and national artists who represent a range of traditional and modified artisan techniques, creating one-of-a-kind items. Supporting both the local economy and artists alike, Craft Marketplace is a creative alternative to commercial holiday shopping. A quirky illustration print, a pair of finely crafted metal earrings, or an artist’s 2018 calendar could be a unique and perfect gift. The opening reception will include a free all-ages hands-on craft workshop. The Pelham Art Center members will receive a 10% discount on all Craft Marketplace gallery sales during a special Members’ Holiday Sale, December 4-9. Craft Marketplace is curated by Anki King, PAC’s Gallery and Public Programs Manager.

Workshop
Katherine Mojzsis will hold a free workshop on wire jewelry during the workshop. The workshop will cover the basics for creating beaded bracelets and rings. Participants will use a variety of tools including pliers, wire cutters, mallets and ring mandrels, and will go home with something pretty. All levels are welcome.
Book Signing
During the opening, Susan L. Nathenson will be selling and signing her new book featuring her creative ceramic works. The book will be sold with a discount during the opening event.
