NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Eight windows in two classrooms at New Rochelle High School were smashed out causing more than $1,000 in property damage, according to an Incident Report filed by the City School District of New Rochelle. The classrooms are Room 147 and Room 149 which face out towards the driveway leading towards the administrative parking lot near the school planetarium.

The damage was discovered early Monday morning and appears to have occurred over the weekend.

One window to Room 149 was propped open but no entry was made, according to a police report obtained by Talk of the Sound.

A video surveillance camera was being reviewed by school security for potential suspects.

The classroom windows were temporarily covered with plywood.
