NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Isaac E. Young Middle School sixth-graders gave retiring New Rochelle Police Commissioner Patrick Carroll their own send-off this week with letters and poems thanking him for all he has done for the community.

Carroll is retiring this month after 24 years running city’s police department. He came to New Rochelle in 1993 after a career with the New York City Police Department.
“The Commissioner’s work in New Rochelle represents the inclusive and supportive nature of our Police Department,” said Principal Anthony Bongo. “He has been available for our students and their families whenever needed.”
