NEW ROCHELLE, NY — There’s no need for kids to stay up until midnight as New Roc’s master of ceremonies rings in the New Year early with the countdown to noon complete with a thrilling balloon release with festive, brightly-colored balloons.
For the 8th year in a row, New Roc City will offer their festive ‘Ring in the New Year at Noon’ event for kids ages 2 – 10 in the atrium on Sunday, December 31st from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. While the highlight of the event is always the thrilling count down to a 3,000+ balloon drop at noon, this year’s program will also feature a Meet and Greet with New York Ranger alumni Tom Laidlaw, face painting, arts and crafts, kiddy rides, clowns, wheel of chance, games, snacks, goody bag, raffle prizes and much more! After the popular balloon drop families are invited to spend the rest of the afternoon at New Roc’s complex to complete their fun-filled New Year’s celebration.
This year’s event will support the Westchester Children’s Museum through a $10 donation per family when registering for the New Roc City Event. The Children’s Museum is an interactive learning space providing children, families and school groups the opportunity to nurture curiosity and ignite imagination through creative hands-on exploration. The museum is located at 100 Playland Parkway in Rye.
Preregistration for this event is strongly encouraged. Families can register online at 2017rinyatnoon.eventbrite.com.
