NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Public Library Board of Trustees has announced that Library Trustee Greg Varian has resigned from the NRPL Board of Trustees, effective March 16, 2018. Mr. Varian cited personal reasons for the resignation.
The annual Library election on May 15, 2018 will now include the election of four Library trustee positions: two for the regularly-scheduled election of a trustee for a 5-year term. The third and fourth positions will be to complete the last year of Greg Varian’s term and the last year of Haina Just-Michael’s former seat. Ms. Just-Michael resigned in September because she and her family are relocating out of New Rochelle. The two candidates who receive the most votes will serve the five-year terms.
The Library Board of Trustees meets in the library’s Ossie Davis Theater on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm.
