NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The City School District of New Rochelle has hired

Meilisa Arlt as its new purchasing agent, working in the Business and Administration Office to continue the District’s goal of reducing costs while providing more value for the purchases it makes. She will be responsible for the District’s purchasing of goods and services, including the administration of the bidding process and contracts for vendors.

Arlt comes from Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES (PNW BOCES), which works in conjunction with 18 local school districts, where she was a purchasing agent since 2014. As the manager of the PNW BOCES Cooperative Bidding Service, she helped the participating school districts meet their purchasing needs in a cost-effective manner by researching vendors, managing specifications and conducting invitations for bid, requests for proposal and requests for quote for district supplies and services.

“I am excited and honored to join the City School District of New Rochelle’s Business and Administration Team. I am looking forward to refining the District’s procurement processes and to continue getting more for our taxpayers’ valuable investment in the New Rochelle schools,” Arlt said.
