NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The City School District of New Rochelle seeks volunteers from the community to join its districtwide School Safety Team. The team is charged with the ongoing review and revision of the District Safety/Emergency Response Plan formulated pursuant to New York State Education Law as part of the state’s Project SAVE (Safe Schools Against Violence in Education.)

The deadline to request joining the team is 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 13.
The District especially encourages community members to consider volunteering if they have experience serving with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, the New York State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services or any other federal, state or Westchester County law enforcement or emergency services agency.
Volunteers on the team are expected to meet at least monthly.
