NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle’s Project SEARCH, a job readiness program for students with developmental challenges, achieved highest honors at the national organization’s annual conference in Savannah, Georgia last week. The New Rochelle chapter – Montefiore New Rochelle Project SEARCH – was lauded for reaching a 100 percent success rate with its 2016-2017 class, placing all eight participants in long-term employment.
“We were thrilled to accept the award this year and look forward to achieving more goals in the near future,” said project instructor Kathy Barbara.
The program is a collaboration among the City School District of New Rochelle, Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital, Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) and Ability Beyond.
