The schedule for the first week of school goes as follows:
Wednesday, Sept. 5
Elementary schools
Half day. Dismissal at 11:40 a.m.
Albert Leonard Middle School
8th grade: 8:30 a.m.-9:45 a.m.
7th grade: 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.
6th grade: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Isaac E. Young Middle School
6th grade: 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
7th grade: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
8th grade: 11 a.m. to noon
New Rochelle High School
9th graders only (full day, with orientation)
Thursday, Sept. 6
Elementary and middle schools
Full day
New Rochelle High School
9th and 10th grades – full day (with 10th grade orientation)
11th and 12th grades – orientation only
Friday, Sept. 7
Full day, all students
Here are some reminders and updates as the first day of school approaches:
Home Access Center: The Home Access Center opened today (August 30) for New Rochelle High School and the elementary schools. The service is scheduled to open at 8 a.m. Saturday for the middle schools.
Families can sign up online. Visit the HAC here. To sign up, a parent or guardian needs the contact information provided when the student was registered and the email address currently on file with the child’s school.
Health-Related Forms: If you haven’t turned in health-related forms on immunizations or health examination requirements, including those for athletic programs, visit the Health Services Department’s updated web page here. The page includes health-related forms as well as contacts for more information. Please submit completed forms to your child’s school nurse.
